Jill & Jay's Big Day!
1. What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Our favorite memory of the day was how everything came together perfectly. It was truly everything we imagined it would be. We had so much help and support from our family and friends. The day was a team effort and getting to share in such a perfect day with the people we love the most was so special.
2. What advice do you have for couples on their day?
Be sure to dance at your reception! Everyone will want a picture and/or selfie with you and that can take over your partying time if you let it. Fully enjoy the amazing party you've planned and get out on that dance floor!
3. What advice do you have for a long and happy marriage?
Having only been married for a few months we're not sure that we know all of the trick of the trade just yet. But, we plan to continue laughing together and finding joy in the ordinary parts of life. When you're with your best friend every day finding joyful moments is easy to do!
4. What was your favorite marriage advice?
We loved getting reminders to slow down and be fully present with one another other.
5. How will you celebrate your one year anniversary?
To celebrate one year of wedded bliss we are planning a cruise to the Caribbean! It will be a perfect sunny escape during December.
6. Anything else you would like to throw out there?
This feels a bit cliche because everyone says it, but be flexible on the day of the wedding! There were a few things that were totally out of our control and we simply had to go with the flow. Regardless, it was an absolutely perfect day. Getting to marry your soul mate makes all of the stressful little things fall away.
